Benthic community distribution in the lagoon of Venice in the years 1948 and 1968.

Giordani Soika's unpiblished data consented by "Museo Civico di Storia Naturale" of Venice were analysed. Data come from macrozoobenthic sampling carried out in 1948 and 1968 in the Venicelagoon shallows. The present study is a benthic data review whose scope is to show potential changes in benthic community structure and the organisation that may have occurred in the lagoon in the twenty years between samplings.
