Variational Methods for the steady Boltzmann equation for semiconductors

In this paper we present some variational methods for the homogeneous and non-homogeneous steady Boltzmann equation for semiconductors. We consider applications of these methods to the evaluation of the mobility and, in the non-homogeneous case, also of the diffusivity.
