Zonazione abiotica e biodiversità bentonica in una laguna costiera

A zonation based on abiotic variables is proposed for the Venice lagoon. Units, Classes and Zones are individuated on the basis of morphology, statistical clustering and spatial location, with the aim to transform the natural abiotic transitional gradient into discrete homogeneous territorial entities, in the light of quality assessment requirement. Diversity indices of the macrozoobenthic communities are analysed for Classes and Zones.
