La identidad catalana en Cerdeña

The study presented in this paper has the purpose of creating a Catalan identity in Sardinia, since the years immediately subsequent to the conquest up to present days, starting from a comparative analysis among similar identity elements in other territories of the Crown. The analysis of the Catalan-Aragonese presence in Sardinia is conducted from an historical, institutional, artistic and linguistic point of view. In this order, a relevant position is occupied by the survey of the identity of urban oligarchies in the main royal cities of Sardinia, their positions and their family and clientelistic relations with the monarchy and the other arms, being the parliament the best environment to observe them.
