Poly(N-hexyl-cyclopenta[c]pyrrole). A novel 1,3,4-alkyl-substituted polypyrrole soluble in organic solvents and redox conducting

Abstract:
Electrochemical and chemical polymerization of N-hexylcyclopenta[ c]pyrrole has produced a novel 1,3,4-substituted polypyrrole soluble in acetone, acetonitrile and chlorinated solvents. The absence of defects, guaranteed by the complete capping, allows the use of this polymer in applications in which a regularity of the conjugated chain is a strict prerequisite.
