Applicazioni GPS-GIS nel monitoraggio dei danni da lepidotteri defogliatori in querceti mediterranei

Application of Integrated Pest Management Prograrns in forest ecosystems is based on the availability of basic informations about phytophagous insects population dynamic. Results of monitoring of the most damaging Lepidoptera defoliators in Oak woods of Aspromonte area (South Italy) are reported in the present paper. Data on biological parameters and defoliation levels coilected with a surveys GPS (TRIMBLE Pro XR) in permanent plots are analysed with the Geographic Information System Arc Info for to provide graphic and tabular outpouts. Applications of advanced technology as Remote sensing are in progres.
