abstract:
Male adult specimens of the grooved carpet shell Ruditapes decussatus (Linnaeus, 1758)
were collected from the Porto Pozzo lagoon (central-western Mediterranean) in order to evaluate if their
sperm motility is affected by the wide salinity variations of this area. The sperm motility parameters
assessed by computer assisted analysis showed no significant differences in relation to the tested salinity
range.
