abstract:
Alessandro Litta Modignani (Milan 1800-1871) leaves to his heirs a series of journals extremely interesting from the perspective of cultural history. Among the few diaries received and kept at the Biblioteca Ambrosiana, are examined and studied in this volume two segments related to his staying in Buenos Aires, at the time dominated by the figure of General Manuel Rosas, and the perilous passage to Chile through the Cape Horn.
