Recent food and economic crises have roused the attention of the international community on the right to food. This situation of crisis has revealed the weakness of the human rights protection system. The volume focuses on the debate concerning the right to food under two main perspectives: its recognition as a fundamental human right and the conditions through which this right can be realized. The text also addresses a particular reflection on the right to have access to food in emergency situations.
