The Royal Diplomatic Charters of Martin I, king of Aragon, held in the Archive of the Crown of Aragon in Barcelona, are a collec-tion of heterogeneous documents in un-bound charters, which were produced by the royal chancery during the reign of this king or originate from other public or pri-vate chanceries, national or foreign from contemporary European states. The importance of producing an edition of these documents is prompted by the need of making available an historical and politi-cal heritage that cannot be recovered from any other collection held in the Italian or Iberian archives.
