abstract:
Diffuse-light absorption spectroscopy performed in the near-infrared band was used to gather a turbidity-free spectroscopic information of a miscellaneous of 86 beers. A multivariate data processing provided a straightforward assessment of the alcoholic strength. Hence, optical methods demonstrated effectiveness for non-destructive, fast, and reagent-free process control applications.
