High-order harmonic generation in a femtosecond-laser-micromachined chip

abstract:
We demonstrate the generation of high-order harmonics in a fused-silica chip produced by femtosecond laser micromachining. This achievement paves the way to the miniaturization of HHG applications from large-scale laboratories to microdevices.
