The collection, endowed with an accurate introduction of the editors, comprises Dohrn's italian writings and some commemorative writings published in Naples in occasion of Darwin's death. The Introduction explores the increasing influence of physiology in shaping late XIX Century's approaches to Darwinism, both in the Italian and in the European context.
