abstract:
Hydroxyapatite (HA), alumina and Zirconia are considered candidate materials for small prostheses as dental roots, parts f or ear microsurgery and for maxillofacial reconstruction.
In this work Hydroxyapatite samples were prepared by slip casting and pressing techniques and then sintered at different temperatures to evaluate the influence of process parameters an the properties of the material. The results were evaluated in terms of mechanical properties and microstructure.
