Occurrence of cucumber vein yellowing virus in cucurbitaceous species in southern Portugal.

First report of the occurrence of CVYV in Portugal on fifteen of 52 field samples. CVYV was found in 4 cucurbitaceous species: melon, watermelon, cucumber and squash. Diagnosis was performed by RT-PCR, sequencing of amplified fragment, B. Tabaci transmission and mechanical inoculation on test plants.
