Corpus of Sabaic inscriptions

The "Corpus of Sabaic Inscriptions" is the critical digital edition of ca. 3400 Ancient South Arabian inscriptions in Sabaic language, of the approximately 5,000 known so far. This corpus is divided into three major historical linguistic periods: early, middle and late. A number of regional varieties such as the Corpus of Early Sabaic inscriptions from Ethiopia and - in the Middle phase - the Central, Northern and Southern Sabaic have been identified. The Corpus is part of the epigraphic archive "DASI-Digital Archive for the study of pre-Islamic Arabian inscriptions" of the University of Pisa. Inscriptions are provided with text annotation, apparatus criticus, translations, images, bibliography, description of the textual support and of the geographic context.
