Relaxation of Rotational-Vibrational Energy and Volume Viscosities in H/H-2 Mixtures
Conference Paper

abstract:
We consider H/H-2 mixtures in a regime where translational/rotational and vibrational-resonant energy exchanges are fast whereas vibrational energy variations are slow. Volume viscosities and relaxation phenomena are investigated in a kinetic framework and the theoretical results are compared with state to state calculations from a complete set of cross sections for the H+H-2(nu, j) system.
