abstract:
The accumulation of antitryptic activity in wounded leaves of wheat was investigated. The complete purification of the inhibitor was achieved by combining affinity chromatography and RP-HPLC procedures. Preliminary sequence analysis showed strong homology with the BowmanBirk inhibitor (WTI) from wheat kernel, previously characterized.
