Distribuzione e commercio dei cereali nel Mediterraneo basso medioevale. Il grano a Castell de Càller dal XIV al XV secolo

This study examines one aspect of the circulation of grain in the Mediterranean Sea during Late Middle Ages: the grain trade in Castell de Càller from the XIV to the XV century. There are still many question around this topic: variability of routes and traffic flows, production variability, seasonal needs, famine, climate, war economy, ration policy, relations between merchants and small or large businesses. Many doubts follow all the steps of this complex chain, but the documentary sources examined, if not yet allow us to solve them, however, lead us to many explanations.
