abstract:
Dense and porous films of nanostructured zirconia stabilized in the cubic-fluorite phase by aliovalent metal oxides (MgO, CaO, Sc2O3, and Y2O3) have been deposited through a conventional MOCVD and an Aerosol-CVD processes, respectively. The two methods allowed the obtainment of materials with peculiar morphological and microstructural features for different applications in SOFC. The compositional (SIMS, EDS), structural (XRD) and morphological (FEG-SEM) analyses confirmed the growth of both dense, for solid electrolyte, and porous, as component for anode, stabilized cubic ZrO2 depending on the employed deposition method.
