Introduction to the Italian edition of the work of the Sardinian Jesuit Antonio Machoni, who wrote the biographies of his seven other Sardinian Jesuits, who carried out their missionary work in the Jesuit Province of Paraguay between the Sixteenth and the Eighteenth centuries. The biographies are a means to tell the epic history of the Southern America Christianization and they are also a kind of ethnological Treaties of some indigenous actually vanished.
