Chapter
Publication Date:
2009
abstract:
This study analyses an unpublished report (1328-1330) by Ramon ça Vall, Alfonso IV's advisor and royal officer of Aragon, regarding the importance of Regnum Sardiniae et Corsicae in the context of western Mediterranean economy. The writer, with her strong experience and knowledge about the situation of the island during the domination by the Republic of Pisa, underlines the fact that the Regnum Sardiniae was beginning to lose its pivotal role and show signs of its fragility.
