Further to the paper "Application of the impedance model of de Levie for the characterization of porous electrodes" by O.A. Barcia et al. [Electrochimica Acta 47 (2002) 2109]

Academic Article
Publication Date:
2006
abstract:
An approach to the analysis of the impedance of porous electrodes proposed by Barcia et al. [Electrochimica Acta 47 (2002) 2109] is reconsidered. It is pointed out that the impedance data are not sufficient to determine pore length (l) pore radius (r) and number of pores (n), since their analysis can only yield two combinations of these geometrical parameters: and . However, if one of the geometrical parameters l, r or n is known from an independent measurement, the impedance data can provide the information for estimating the others.
