Soft bottom macrozoobenthic distribution, as well as its composition, biomass and diversity were
studied at 9 stations in the Gulf of Manfredonia. Polychaeta were numerically the dominant component
(71%), followed by Crustacea (21%) and Bivalvia (2%). The highest biodiversity was observed at the
stations in near-shore of the study area.
