Background: We investigated the effects of uncoupling protein 3 (UCP3) genetic deletion on F-18-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) cardiac uptake by positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) dedicated animal system after permanent coronary artery ligation.
