Gestione remota di reti di campo

Fieldbuses are rapidly becoming the most suitable way of interconnecting devices at the lowest hierarchical level in modern distributed automation systems. At the same time, at the highest level, internet and intranet are more and more used as factory communication systems.
This paper describes the ways of connecting fieldbus and intranet/internet. After a general description of the possible configurations, two case studies will be considered with regard to two fieldbuses very popular in Europe: Profibus and CANopen.
