Abstract:
The church of Sant'Agata is a witness of great historical, cultural and scientific value of the construction and seismic activity of the Mugello area. The building was interested in a first study of its construction history, in an expeditious way, during the project "Archeology of architecture and seismic risk in Mugello" operated during the three-year period 2010-2013. Following a new international project developed on the church in 2018-19, a
detailed analysis of the construction events was carried out, adding elements of great interest from the historic-constructive and archeosismological point of views for the knowledge of the effects of ancient earthquakes on the building and on the important reconstructions that followed these events.
