Abstract:
High-order harmonic generation (HHG) in aligned molecules is an important area in strong field ultrafast physics [1]-[3]. It has been shown that the dependence of HHG on the molecular structure can give new insights into measuring molecular structure on a subfemtosecond timescale [3]. A unique aspect of HHG in a simple molecular system is the possibility to observe quantum interference phenomena related to the shape of the molecular wavefimction [4],[5]. Recently this effect has been observed in HHG from aligned CO 2 molecules by Kanai et al. [6] and by Vozzi et al. [7]
