abstract:
Some mediterranean macchia species and their ecophysiological responses to environmental conditions were investigated in a Mediterranean type ecosystem located in Northern Sardinia. Four representative species, were chosen and main ecophysiological parameters were measured at predawn and midday during growing season. Investigated species showed a capacity of net photosynthesis and xilematic water potential modulation as regards to micrometeorological conditions. Results confirm the adaptation of these species to their ecological environment.
